About

This site covers my club racing experiences. In 2007, I built a new race car for an all-new class. The car is a 1999 BMW Z3 2.8 Coupe, and the class is the SCCA’s Improved Touring R (ITR) class. Since it was a new class in 2007, there isn’t much competition yet, but it’s growing! Prior to that I raced a Subaru STI, a Mazda3, and a 4-cylinder Z3.

I’ve been doing various motorsports since the late ’80s. I was an SCCA autocross national champion in 1996, one of 11 years I went to the Solo National Championships. From 2004-2006, I competed in the SCCA National Club Racing program with an eye towards winning a national championship, but in 2007 I decided to stay closer to home and race in the San Francisco Region of the SCCA, a very strong regional club racing program.

Yes, the team name (and the typeface for it) was shamelessly borrowed from the children’s book, “Go, Dog. Go!”  Not much of a plot, but the dogs driving cars are fun.

I’ll keep this site updated throughout the racing season, or between seasons as events happen with respect to the rules, the club, or my plans.
