In 2005, Josh Sirota and his teammates are competing in the Showroom Stock C class in SCCA
National Club Racing. Josh drives the #24 Mazda/Kumho/Tri-Point Mazda3, René Marinus drives
the #44 car, and Ali Naimi, the #14.

René's engine gremlins returned and he didn't race. Josh crashed during practice but mostly repaired the car (everything but power steering was repaired). Ali won, with Josh finishing 3rd. |

What a week! Josh's wiring harness caught fire during Sunday testing. He missed the cool Tuesday qualifying as a result. So René qualified 3rd, Ali 6th, and Josh back in 18th (of 38 starters). After an event-filled race, Ali finished 4th, René 5th, and Josh 13th. Quote from Greg Creamer, Speed Channel announcer: "Sirota, in his first Runoffs appearance, late in the race, was doing some serious, serious racing." |
